Did Ram Charan land 'Game Changer' role only after 'RRR' success? Director opens up

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's highly anticipated film 'Game Changer' is set to hit theatres on January 10, 2025, coinciding with the Sankranti festival. Directed by Shankar, the film is a political drama where the 'RRR' actor will be seen in the role of an IAS officer.

In a recent interview, Shankar revealed that Ram Charan was always the first choice for the lead role, even before the success of his previous blockbuster 'RRR'. He praised Charan's exceptional talent, stating that the actor possesses a unique ability to convey deep emotions and has a commanding screen presence.

The director said, "When you look at him, it seems like he is controlling the power inside. It also seems like he will explode when required. He is an artist who can give in-depth performances. He has a good screen presence. No matter what kind of scene it is, he handles it beautifully".

Shankar also shared that Charan's portrayal of a righteous IAS officer fighting against corruption would resonate strongly with audiences.

The film revolves around Ram Charan's character, who takes on corrupt politicians in a gripping political action thriller. Kiara Advani plays a pivotal role as another officer working alongside him.

'Game Changer' has already released several singles, including 'Jaragandi' and 'Raa Macha Macha,' which have garnered millions of views online. The next romantic single titled 'Dhop' is set to be released on December 22, 2024. The music for the film is composed by Thaman S.

The film has also attracted attention for its high production values, with reports indicating that a lavish song sequence was filmed in New Zealand.
