‘DevaDas’ vs ‘Nawab’: Clash of crazy multi-starrers on September 27

The shooting of ‘DevaDas’ featuring Natural Star Nani and King Nagarjuna in lead roles has been wrapped up. Yesterday, the 59-year-old Akkineni scion took to twitter to announce the news. Currently in the post-production phase, the crazy multi-starrer is scheduled to release on September 27 much to the delight of Telugu viewers. While the teaser and singles have garnered a great response, the theatrical trailer of ‘DevaDas’ is still awaited.
On the other side, maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s mega multi-starrer ‘Nawab’ originally titled as ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ in Tamil, is set for a worldwide release on September 27. The recently released trailer has raised the expectations on this action-family-drama which boards an ensemble star cast with the likes of Arvind Swami, Simbhu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, Prakash Raj, etc. Packed with love, action, family emotions and friendship, ‘Nawab’ seems to be perfect for Mani Ratnam’s bounce back into the big leagues.
With an interesting clash on the cards, it’s surely going to a visual treat for all film buffs. If Mani Ratnam – AR Rahman’s combo manages to get a decent talk, it could eat away some collections of ‘DevaDas’ for sure.
