Deepika Padukone recommends Nag Ashwin's Mahanati and fans take it as a sign

Deepika Padukone recently took to social media to recommend her fans watch Nag Ashwin’s Mahanati.
The actress shared the poster of the film and wrote, “Watch it now.” Nag Ashwin shared her post and the director seemed happy as he wrote, “What a cool notification to wake upto :))” (sic) While the actress has also shared Jordan Peele’s BlacKkKlansman as a recommendation later on, fans have taken it as a sign that Deepika is on-board for Nag Ashwin’s next film with Prabhas.

Nag Ashwin announced that his next will be with Prabhas which will begin shoot after the actor will finish shoot for the yet-to-be-titled #Prabhas20. The film is expected to be a Sci-Fi mounted on a massive scale. Apart from Telugu, the pan-Indian #Prabhas21 will also be made in Hindi and other South Indian languages. Shoot for the film was supposed to commence from August but with #Prabhas20’s shoot pushed due to the pandemic, it remains to be seen.
Rumours have been doing rounds recently that Deepika Padukone has been approached to play the female lead in Nag Ashwin’s film with Prabhas. While none of those involved with the film have addressed the rumours, fans continue to take her post as a sign that she is in fact considering coming on-board.
Prabhas was shooting for the periodic film #Prabhas20 in Georgia with Pooja Hegde and Bhagyashree when the pandemic hit and the team had to head home without completing their schedule. Deepika Padukone on the other hand was last seen in Chhapaak.
