Tammareddy Bharadwaj, who presented Palasa 1978, which is based on the true incidents that took place in the Srikakulam district in
Andhra Pradesh, urged the Dalit communities to come and watch the film.
Speaking at a press meet, Tammareddy said, "I have made numerous film and felt bad when people didn't watch them. People ask for good films with good ratings, and this is the film that is well made, rated well and made for the Dalit community.
Why aren't they watching this film? They have questioned their absence from the films and this is the movie that is made for them to address their issues."
Explaining that the movie has been solely made to address the issues of the Dalit community, he added, "The Dalit community should come and watch this movie, we have told their story. This film should be handed over to future generations Everyone has put their life in making this movie."
