Apart from taking the director's seat, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap often includes himself in the business, putting his acting skills before the camera. Playing multiple roles in films recently, the 'Gangs of Wasseypur' director will be seen playing a key role in Adivi Sesh's 'Dacoit.' Today, on his 53rd birthday, his co-star actors, Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh dropped unseen clips from the sets of the action thriller.

Inspector Swamy is full of aura

In 'Dacoit', Anurag Kashyap will be seen playing the role of "Inspector Swamy", which Mrunal Thakur describes as the one who carries "flair, aura and stature" which could only be portrayed by Kashyap. Sharing a video that includes several behind-the-scenes shots of the actor from the sets, she wrote, "Team #Dacoit wishes 'Inspector Swamy' aka the multi-faceted Anurag Kashyap sir a very Happy Birthday. He brings flair, aura and stature to the character like only he can".

About 'Dacoit'

The film directed by Shaneil Deo, will be an action thriller drama that revolves around a convict who wants to take revenge after being betrayed by his ex-girlfriend. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in key roles. It will be released in multiple languages and set to hit the big screens worldwide on December 25.

On the work front, Anurag Kashyap was last seen in the Malayalam action comedy film, 'Rifle Club' and prior to it played an intense role in Vijay Sethupathi starrer superhit 'Maharaja'.
