Adivi Sesh is basking in the success of his recent release ‘Dacoit’, co-written by himself. Touted to be an action thriller, recently the actor shared how he looks at film, calling the core of the movie, “a love story.” He explained that the film shows two people who were once in deep love.According to a report by News18, Adivi Sesh revealed about the film's genre. While speaking to the publication, he shared, "‘Dacoit’ is not just about fights or revenge. For me, 'Dacoit' is not just about conflict or revenge. At its core, it’s a love story.” Life takes them on different paths. When they meet again, they are not the same people anymore. Their past still lives inside them."

Modern-day Romeo and Juliet

Adivi Sesh shared that the film takes inspiration from Romeo and Juliet. But he affirmed that it is not a copy. He said, “It’s our modern-day Romeo and Juliet, but set in a world that feels very real and grounded. These are two people who were once deeply in love, and life took them in different directions. When they meet again, it’s not just about rekindling feelings, it’s about confronting everything that love has turned into over time.

Adivi Sesh talks about how love does not always stay the same. He explained, “The idea of eternal love has always fascinated me.” He adds, “In Dacoit, love doesn’t disappear, it transforms. Sometimes into pain, sometimes into strength, and sometimes even into revenge.” The film shows how feelings can change with time. Love can become anger, but it still stays inside.

Talking about ‘Dacoit’, the film is directed by Shaneil Deo, marking his debut. The movie tells the story of Hari, who is in a loving relationship with Juliet. However, he gets betrayed and ends up in jail. After a prison break, he shows up to seek revenge from his ex-lover.The movie also marks Anurag Kashyap’s Telugu acting debut as he plays a cop in the film. The film also includes Prakash Raj, Zayn Marie Khan and Atul Kulkarni.The film was released on April 10 and in its 4-day theatrical run, it has collected over Rs 40 crore worldwide.
