Confirmed: Bobby and Rajinikanth to team up for a bi-lingual film
Recently we had reported that Rajinikanth will work with a director whose name will soon be announced.
While many had thought that the director the superstar will work with for the film is Lokesh Kanagaraj, turns out it’s Bobby he said yes to. After wrapping up shooting for Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer, Rajinikanth will go on-sets with the Waltair Veerayya director before shooting for the film with Vikram director.

A source in the know told Hyderabad Times, “The director who is a specialist in making mass entertainers penned a script that will present Rajinikanth in a vintage and massy character. The film will go on-floors next year after Rajinikanth is done shooting for Jailer.” While discussions are on right now, the makers will make things official soon, they said.
Expectations are high on the film not just because Bobby went from one superstar to the next – Chiranjeevi to Rajinikanth – but because the director’s last film Waltair Veerayya was a massive hit. The film presented Chiranjeevi in a fun avatar as a smuggler and the film gave him the opportunity to dance, show off his sense of humour and even a massy side after a long time.
Rajinikanth is currently shooting for Nelson’s Jailer, which also stars actors like Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and others in lead roles. Further details are awaited.
