Comedians in Pantham will leave the audience in splits all through: Chakri

From the looks of the cast filled with seasoned comedians, looks like there won’t be any dearth of entertainment in Pantham. The likes of Srinivas Reddy, Prudhvi, Jayaprakash Reddy and Prabhas Sreenu will give the audience plenty to laugh out loud about, assures the director. “It is a commercial action entertainer that will both educate and entertain the audience in equal measure.The film will offer a surfeit of funny moments,” says K Chakravarthy, aka Chakri who is making his debut with the movie.
One of the highlights of the film will be Srinivas Reddy’s character. “Srinivas garu plays Gopichand’s good friend and colleague in the movie. He’s the quintessential sidekick who will add plenty of humour to the proceedings,” says Chakri.
Then there is Prudhviraj, who plays the ‘seriously funny’ Vadakam Valeswar Rao. “The comic track between Gopichand and Prudhvi will remind the audience of the magic they created together in Loukyam. Their timing will leave the audience in splits,” says the scriptwriter-turned-director.
Chakri singles out Jayaprakash Reddy for special praise. “He plays the role of a minister. Japrakash Reddy is one of the finest comedians in the business today and his performance will be one of the USP’s of the film,” says the director, adding, “Apart from these three, the film
features a few other comedians like Prabhas Sreenu. A lot of times I would just keep laughing in my seat, forgetting to say cut. That’s the kind of energy we had on the sets.”
Apparently, the romantic track between Gopichand and Mehreen is also loaded with plenty of humour. “Their love story has this endearingly funny undertones to it. The audience will get to see a hitherto unseen funny side to both Gopichand and Mehreen,” he says.
Summing up, what the audience can expect from Pantham, the filmmaker says, “The first half is an out-an-out entertainer with the emotions running high in the second half. It’s a complete package that will have equal portions of emotion, action, romance and entertainment.”
Pantham, being produced by KK Radha Mohan under Sri Sathya Sai Arts, released today.
