In an interview with Great Andhra while promoting his upcoming film 'Lucky Baskhar', starring Dulquer Salmaan, Vamsi expressed his belief that current cinema ticket prices are quite reasonable. He pointed out that for a ticket priced at Rs 250, a family of four can enjoy a three-hour movie experience, which, when combined with snacks costing around Rs 500, totals approximately Rs 1,500. "Tell me, where else can they find such entertainment for two and a half to three hours at that price?" he further said.

His comments have also led to a debate online. While some netizens agree with Vamsi’s perspective, arguing that cinema remains one of the cheapest forms of entertainment, others have criticized his viewpoint. Detractors argue that not all films provide sufficient value to justify the higher ticket prices, especially when they are hiked.

In addition to the Dulquer Salmaan starrer, the filmmaker Naga Vamsi has other projects including an untitled film with Nandamuri Balakrishna and a sequel to 'MAD'.
