Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi on Friday condoled the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben Modi.
''Deeply saddened by the demise of Smt. Heeraba Modi ji, beloved mother of our Hon’ble Prime Minister. She lived an extraordinary life. My tributes to the divine soul who left for the heavenly abode. My heartfelt condolences to Shri @narendramodiji ! Om Shanti!,'' Chiranjeevi said in a tweet.
Heeraben, 100, passed away early Friday morning at a private hospital in Ahmedabad, where she was admitted on Wednesday for some heart-related problems.
The hospital management said in a statement, "Heeraba Modi passed away on December 30 at 3.30 a.m. (early morning) during the treatment at the hospital."
Modi wrote with a heavy heart, "A glorious century rests at the feet of God. In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values."
The Prime Minister met his mother for the last time at the hospital where she had been admitted on Wednesday.
Chiranjeevi is awating the theatrical release of his upcoming film 'Waltair Veerayya', which will hit the screens on January 13, 2023.
