Chinmayi turns director

Actress Chinmayi, who had caught the audiences��������� attention with her debut film ���������LBW���������, went on to sustain their interest with her Telangana accent in her recent release ���������Lovely���������.
But that���������s not all to her. The pretty ex Miss Texas and Miss Asia-America, is all set to co-direct an English film. Talking to Hyderabad Times, the actress says, ���������It���������s an amazing crossover film that I am co-directing.We are in talks with a big production company in Mumbai and by month end we are hoping to make an announcement.���������
The actress, who has won awards for her short film ���������American Nightmare��������� while she was still studying filmmaking in the US, has a deep desire to do meaningful cinema. ���������I am working on two scripts with a group of friends and one of them is a Telugu film,��������� she reveals.
When quizzed about reports that the film is on the Telugu fetish for IT degrees and jobs, the actress says, ���������I cannot reveal much about the film now. My friend Kiran, who has a Masters degree in Fine Arts and Direction from London, and another good friend Naveen, an IIT grad who worked in London, but has a passion for films, are working with me on the script. It���������s half done, but there already many takers for this Telugu film.���������
