'Chal Mohan Ranga': Five reasons why you should watch Nithiin and Megha Akash starrer
Director Krishna Chaitanya’s Nithiin and Megha Akash starrer ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ has cleared censor formalities and received ‘U’ certification. Scheduled to release on April 5 all over the world, a special screening was reportedly held for the censor officials on April 2. The promos hint that the film has all commercial elements like comedy, romance, action and more. After the lukewarm year 2018 has been for the Telugu Film Industry so far, with the industry delivering only a few major hits like ‘Awe’ and ‘Rangasthalam’, expectations are high on ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ to be a good summer entertainer. Before Chal Mohan Ranga movie review is out, we give you five reasons why you should watch this entertainer tomorrow:
Nithiin and Megha Akash
The duo who previously worked together in ‘LIE’ just seemed to have gained their footing better this time around, seeing as how they look adorable together in the trailer. While Nithiin has more than proved his mettle in the industry delivering hits like ‘Sye’ and ‘A Aa,’ Megha Akash is a known face in the South Indian industry, working alongside the likes of Dhanush. It remains to be seen how the duos on-screen chemistry will work out this time around.

Trivikram-Pawan Kalyan factor
After the disastrous ‘Agnyaathavaasi’, alleged to be a rip-off of Jerome Salle’s French film ‘Largo Winch’, the news of Trivikram and Pawan Kalyan coming together again created massive ripples. However, the director and actor have come together only to produce the Nithiin and Megha Akash starrer and not for a new film. None-the-less, it would be interesting to see what Trivikram or Pawan Kalyan, apart from Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy, have seen in the film to invest in it.
SS Thaman’s music
The album of ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’, composed by SS Thaman, is a treat for music lovers. Offering a mixed bag of songs, he made it seem like there was something for everyone in the album. The electrifying ‘Pedda Puli’, peppy ‘Miami’ and the classical ‘Ardham Leni Navvu’ stand out in an album stand out amongst six songs. ‘Pedda Puli’s was Bonalu-style folk music and lyrics were even appreciated by Akon who wished the entire team of the film good luck.
Trivikram’s story
Much has been talked of Trivikram penning the story of ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ because ever since the ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ fiasco, rumours have been strife of this venture’s story too being lifted from some other movie. ‘500 Days of Summer’ and ‘When Harry Met Sally’ are the names that are being thrown around based on the story revealed. The film is said to chart the journey of Mohan Ranga and Megha’s love story that keeps seeing ups and downs. However, Trivikram is also the man who has written the stories of hits like ‘Attarintiki Daaredi’, ‘Julai’ and ‘Athadu’, so it remains to be seen how this one will fare.
The feel-good factor
‘Chal Mohan Ranga’ is touted to be a feel-good film that will appeal to all age groups, especially the youth. Nithiin had previously said that his role in this film is even more energetic than of his in ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayinde’. Shot in US, Ooty and other locales in India, the film is bound to have arresting visuals. Nithiin had also called ‘Chal Mohan Ranga’, his 25th film, one that is free from stress and such.
