Birthday Special! Allu Arjun: Here are the upcoming films of the "Style Icon of Tollywood"

Although he has made a name for himself as the style icon across the country, Allu Arjun has come a long way since he acted as the one-side lover in ‘Arya’. In fact, he's become a full-fledged film star and one of Tollywood's top actors named Stylish Star Allu Arjun. His charm, dance, performance, humor and everyman quality has propelled him into the upper echelon of the industry and seen him get top billing in some of the biggest blockbusters out there. He has shown no signs of slowing down, either.

People seemed to love ‘Julai’ and ‘S/o Satyamurthy’ and they were also a huge hit at the box office and definitely set up an entirely new paradigm for director Trvikram Srinivas to team up again with Allu Arjun. Their third combo was announced a couple of months ago and is set up to be something completely different than what we've seen before and Trivikram will again be along for the ride to provide enough entertainment to keep the audience occupied. This film was supposedly set to start filming in early 2019 for a late 2019 release date, but the production house, Haarika & Hassine Creations, finally had to clarify that the pre-production of the film is on in full swing and details of #AA19 will be announced soon. Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts is also funding the project.

With the yet-to-be-titled #AA20, the superhit duo Allu Arjun and Sukumar will be collaborating once again, as many had speculated. The actor and director had earlier collaborated for the triangular love stories series, ‘Arya’ and ‘Arya 2’, which stood out as two of the most successful films of Allu Arjun's career. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in the film. While not much information about the film has been divulged yet, this official announcement itself is creating a lot of buzz. The duo is collaborating once again on a whole different project, sources revealed. The untitled film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who earlier produced blockbusters like 'Srimanthudu', 'Janatha Garage', and 'Rangasthalam'. Sukumar last helmed ‘Rangasthalam’, which was a blockbuster at the box office and received well by movie buffs and critics too.

The title of actor Allu Arjun’s next with Sriram Venu film is ‘Icon’, the makers announced on the occasion of the star’s 35th birthday. In an official announcement, the makers confirmed the title as ‘Icon’, inspired by his title Style Icon. In the film, Allu Arjun will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar as per the title poster. He is seen riding a bike on the poster while a massive title in the background. It has the caption ‘Kanapaduta ledu’ (He’s missing). The film will mark the fourth time collaboration of producer Dil Raju and actor Allu Arjun after ‘Arya’, ‘Parugu’, and ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’, which all were blockbuster hits. So, Sriram Venu who bagged super success with his last flick ‘MCA’ (Middle Class Abbayi’) will direct this project under Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.

According to the industry sources, the Allu scion will reportedly be joining hands with maverick filmmaker AR Murugadoss for a big-budget bilingual social-drama. The ‘Stalin’ director is currently busy with the pre-production work of his next project with Superstar Rajinikanth. Reports reveal that Bunny is mighty impressed with the watertight script narrated by the ace filmmaker, but we'll have to wait and see if it's delayed, cancelled or if something else goes down.
