Actor Bhumika Chawla, who is working on a Telugu film and looking at some Tamil scripts, says she is in no hurry to fill up her days with work now. However, she is pursuing another passion poetry. Her yet-to-be-titled book of poems will be released this year. Ive always been interested in poetry, and these are poems I had written over the years, says Bhumika.
The collection in Hindi will have an English translation as well. My poems dont have any particular theme. I write about whatever inspires me, people, incidents anything.
Bhumika says that ever since she got married to artistic yoga specialist
Bharat Thakur four years ago, she has slowed down as far as her acting career is concerned. But she has been spending a lot of time in the south, what with Bharat setting up yoga centres in major cities, including Kochi. Most of my time is spent travelling between Hyderabad, Bangalore, Dubai and Nasik, where my parents live. I dont want anything more right now, she says.
And finally, is she past the divorce rumour phase? Two years is a long time, but then, it never mattered much to us. The media and Bollywood cant live without each other, and, of course, with the rising number of channels and publications, they have to write something controversial to sell. Its part of the game, I guess. Bharat and me are opposites but we agree to disagree on our beliefs and give each other the space we deserve. It works beautifully for us; and yes, opposites do work, says Bhumika.
