Ever since the news broke, people were curious about the demise of Bharath, who was in news for his involvement in drug mafia and also had been booked several times in drunk and drive. Clearly, over the years, Bharath was isolated from family and Ravi Teja, who guarded his family from media glare did not want to be identified with his brother's activities.

However, when the police identified the deceased as Bharath, who was driving a car that is registered on the name of their mother Rajyalakshmi, nobody from the family except their younger brother, Raghu, has come forward to claim the body of Bharath. So much so, the body was directly taken to the crematorium from Osmania hospital and none from the family turned up for the final rites.

Seen with him was actor Uttej, who was there until the cremation took place at Mahaprasthanam in Jubilee Hills. Uttej was quoted saying that Ravi Teja and family were deeply hurt by the sudden demise of Bharath that they couldn't turn up.

Ravi Teja is very much in Hyderabad and preferred to stay away from it. Meanwhile, comedians Ali, Raghu Babu, actress Jeevitha among a few of Bharath's freinds paid tributes to him at the crematorium.

Bharath was on his way to Gachibowli from Novotel Hotel and had last spoken to his advocate-friend at 9.30 pm. Shamshabad police informed he had suffered severe head injuries, besides sustaining fractures on his left leg and right hand, leading to spot death. The car's bonnet was mangled, both air bags destroyed and the steering wheel broken.
