Kangana Ranaut is stepping into the shoes of Puratchi Thalaivi,
Arvind Swami will be essaying MGR, who was instrumental in the former’s political career. Both the talented artists looked picture-perfect in their respective roles and the video promos have also hit the bull’s eye.
Yesteryear Telugu hero
Sobhan Babu holds a special place in Jayalalithaa’s life. Rumours had it that both the showbiz personalities were in a relationship back then. A few months ago, speculations went rife that Vijay Deverakonda will be playing the romantic star’s role in Thalaivi.
However, according to the latest report in a leading daily, Bengali actor
Jisshu Sengupta is likely to step into the shoes of Sobhan Babu and the 42-year-old actor has already started prepping up for his part by watching the latter’s films and working on his look. Jisshu has recently played the antagonist in Naga Shaurya’s Ashwathama.
Directed by Vijay and co-produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh, Thalaivi will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in June. While GV Prakash Kumar will be composing the music, Vishal Vittal is handling the camera.
