Balakrishna and Rakul Preet to repeat the iconic rain song in NTR biopic

It’s already official that Punjabi beauty Rakul Preet Singh is going to reprise the role of legendary actress Sridevi in the most-anticipated biopic of NTR which will be released in two parts namely ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ and ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’. While the first film will showcase NTR’s inspiring journey from a village-boy to the demi-god of Telugu cinema, the sequel will focus on his achievements in the political arena.
Nandamuri Taraka Rao and Sridevi have starred in many superhit films during the late 70s and early 80s. Their striking expressions and delightful dance moves in the iconic rain song ‘Aaku Chatu Pinde Tadise’ from the blockbuster film ‘Vetagadu’ is still remembered among many. Close sources reveal that director Krish & Co are planning to recreate this classic rain song on Balakrishna and Rakul in a few days. The 27-year-old ‘Nannaku Prematho’ actress is currently prepping up for the role and will join the shoot soon.
Rumours are floating around that a special set has been erected to shoot this special number. The scenes and song between NTR and Sridevi are expected to come in ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’ which will be released on January 9. While MM Keeravani is composing the music, the prestigious film boards an ensemble star cast with the likes of Vidya Balan playing NTR’s wife Basavatarakam, Sumanth as ANR, Rana as CBN, and Nitya Menen as Savitri.
