From being a child artiste to solo lead and a soon-to-be villain, actor Baladitya has come a long way since debuting 22 years ago. That makes me sound like an old man, Im only 27 still. But yes, cinema has been an integral part of my life, shares the actor who is playing a negative role in a Tamil film to be directed by debutante Selvam. He is playing an uncouth village ruffian in the yet-to-be titled film set in a village backdrop.
Ive never played a villain and this character is as bad as it gets, shares the actor, who starred as a child artiste in a couple of Tamil films. Having grown up in Chennai, I can speak fluent Tamil, quips the actor who is set to make a comeback in Tollywood after a four year sabbatical he took to study law and company secretary.
He has been signed up to play the lead in director Tejas next venture. It is going to be a trademark Teja love story, says the actor, who debuted in Tollywood with Chantigadu as a 17- year-old.
