'Baahubali: The Beginning' set for grand re-release on 10th anniversary

SS Rajamouli's 2015 grand film 'Baahubali: The Beginning' is set to make a grand return to theatres. The movie which opened doors, particularly in bringing Telugu films to the international stage will be re-released on the big screens on the occasion of its tenth anniversary.

On 10th July 2025 the movie will be released in theatres.

'Baahubali: The Beginning' revolutionized Indian cinema with its epic storytelling, grand visuals, and exceptional action sequences. The film, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, and Sathyaraj, became a global phenomenon. It not only broke box office records but also made the way for pan-Indian productions, making Telugu cinema a household name worldwide.

The re-release of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' is expected to attract both old and new fans. Despite completing ten years, the film remains fresh in the minds of viewers and has achieved cult status. This re-release will allow younger audiences to experience the film's grandeur in theaters.

As per a Gulte report, producer Shobu Yarlagadda has hinted at this re-release, which will give audiences a chance to relive the magic of the film on the big screen.

'Baahubali: The Beginning' was a groundbreaking achievement in Indian cinema, grossing over Rs 650 crore globally. It was the first part of a duology, followed by 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion'.

The film's sequel was later released after two years in 2017. The 'Baahubali' franchise which was in production for around five years, grossed over Rs 2,460 crore worldwide, making it one of the most successful film franchises in Indian cinema.

As per a Desimartini report, Producer KE Gnanavel Raja has confirmed that 'Baahubali 3' is in the planning stages, with recent discussions focused on developing new ideas for the film. Unlike the back-to-back releases of the first two parts, the makers are taking a more deliberate approach this time, allowing for a longer gap to ensure audiences can reconnect with the characters.
