‘Baahubali’ producer lauds Prabhas starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’; says the film sets ‘new benchmarks for VFX and technical excellence for Indian films’

Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Prabhas, hit the big screens on Thursday, June 27. The dystopian film with an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani has garnered an impressive response on its opening day. ‘Baahubali’ producer Shobu Yarlagadda too lauded the film’s technical prowess.

In a note shared on X, producer Shobu Yarlagadda congratulated director Nag Ashwin, and the team for their ‘epic effort’. He also stated that the film has set a new benchmark for VFX and technical excellence for Indian films.

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is set in a dystopian world, where Kalki, the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu is poised to be born.

ETimes rated ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ 3 out of 5 and wrote, “‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is undeniably a larger-than-life visual spectacle that transports viewers into a vividly imagined universe.
