made his Tollywood debut with '
Hero
,' which is set for a digital premiere on an OTT on
February 11
. The
Sriram Adittya directorial had opened to packed houses in on January 15, on the occasion of Sankranti.
Upon its release, the film received a mixed response from the audience, however, with no major releases to clash with, it was able to pull the audience to the theatres. Ashok Galla’s performance and
Nidhhi Agerwal’s charming screen presence were well-received by the moviegoers. However, the storyline was a big led down. Despite getting mixed reviews online, the film managed to gross over Rs 10 crore at the box office.
Hero’s soundtrack was composed by Ghibran, while the cinematography and editing departments are handled by Sameer Reddy, Richard Prasad and Prawin Pudi respectively. Bankrolled by Padmavathi Galla under the banner of Amara Raja Media and Entertainment, the film also starred Jagapathi Babu, Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Satya, Mime Gopi, Ravi Kishan, Kota Srinivasa Rao and others in pivotal roles.
Nidhhi Agerwal is at present shooting for the Telugu film 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' with Pawan Kalyan. Apart from this film, she is working in an untitled Tamil film in which she stars alongside Udhayanidhi Stalin.
