Are these 10 Veteran superstars badly struggling to deliver a Pan-India superhit?
With young superstars coming into the limelight and giving Pan-India blockbusters, 1000+ crore commercial hits at the Indian box office, Veteran superstars seem to be struggling to give a solid Industry hit these days.
If one reason is they aren’t getting apt film scripts that suit their age and stardom the other reason could be their shift in stardom due to newly emerged superstars.
With the release of Pan-Indian movies and the advent of OTTs that offer world cinema at the fingertips, there are hardly any hits from these superstars lately in Indian cinema. Let’s have a look at the list of such superstars who haven’t delivered a super hit in recent times.

Rajinikanth
One can easily say that it's been a while that the Thalivar of the Southern Cinema had given a blockbuster post his '2.0'. All his films such as ‘Petta’ by Karthik Subbaraj, ‘Darbar’ by A.R.Murugadoss and ‘Annaatthe' by Siva have an average fare at the box office and it has been a while that he has delivered a solid Industry hit.

Nagarjuna Akkineni
The Telugu star actor who has acted in more than 100 films in the lead roles and starred in several other language films is also finding it very difficult to give a solo hit lately.
Right from 2018 there are hardly any memorable movies from him except the average fare 'Bangarraju' which also starred his son Naga Chaitanya sharing a screen with him in the film and it is also a sequel to his successful earlier film 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'.

Aamir Khan
Once Mr Perfect now seems to have lost his form with the judgement of his scripts. Like the above superstars, Aamir Khan also seems to be finding it difficult to deliver a solid Pan-India hit as he did in the past. Though he has dubbed his 2018 film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ (2022) Both of them miserably failed to impress the audience as well as at the box office.

R. Sarathkumar
A legendary actor and Supreme Star of Tamil cinema who has given blockbusters like ‘Natpukkaga’, ‘Surya Vamsam’, ‘Naatamai’ and ‘Janakiraman’ are now getting settled with character roles than being a lead star. However, he is busy with politics just like the other Tamil movie stars but they are still acting in the lead roles where as R.Sarat Kumar is consistently featuring in character roles in young superstar's films.

Anil Kapoor
The Hindi superstar who has given blockbusters such as ‘Mr India’, ‘Beta’, ‘Nayak’, 'Taal', 'Pukar', and many more seems to be finding it tough to deliver a solo blockbuster lately. Most of his movies these days are either multistarrers that are limiting him to the character roles.

Akshay Kumar
The action superstar who acts in 4-5 movies every year in the lead role also seems to be undergoing a tough phase of the current trend. Unlike before he has hardly delivered a blockbuster post his 2021 film ‘Sooryavanshi’. However, he still has a handful of movies to bet on as more than 5 new projects are slated for release this year.

Govinda
The comedy and dancing superstar of Hindi cinema is hardly in news with any great movie news these days. His A.R’Murugadoss’s film ‘Holiday’ in which he appeared in the role of a special officer is the last film that has given him a decent success. However, he still hopes well with his upcoming film ‘Shootout at Byculla’ that is slated for theatrical release this year.

Arjun Sarja
South action entertainer Arjun Sarja who has delivered Pan-South blockbusters such as ‘Gentleman’, ‘Oke Okkadu’, 'Kuruthipunal', 'Sri Manjunatha' and more have also turned writer, director but is yet to deliver a solid blockbuster as he did in the early nighties and late 2000s.

Upendra
Another Kannada Superstar Upendra who was once been the talk of the Industry for years for his uniqueness, versatility and filmmaking sense and had delivered no. of blockbusters such as ‘OmKaram’ ‘Upendra’, ‘A’, ‘Raa’', 'Raktha Kanneru' and more...now is yet to deliver a similar superhit in the 2020s. However, he is now coming up with a Pan-India film ‘Kabzaa’ that is set to release on 17th March 2023.

Mohan Babu
Dialogue King and Telugu superstar Dr Manchu Mohan Babu, who has delivered some of the Big Industry hits of Tollywood such as 'Peddarayudu', 'Major Chandra Kanth', 'Assembly Rowdy' and more seems shifted himself to do character roles these days than being solo lead to give a hit lately.
