Making a fictional film is different, and making sensitive subjects like mythological films are different. We have seen the kind of trolls and controversies that surrounded Prabhas and OM Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ recently that is made on the Hindhu epic ‘Ramayana’.
The film is heavily trolled as it deviated from the main storyline with several missing details and added amateurish dialogues and visuals that attracted lots of criticism from moviegoers and critics alike.
Now Yet another Tollywood film ‘Hanu Man’ is coming up with a similar sensitive mythological subject, this time it is said to be based on Lord 'Hanu-Man'.
Though the makers say it is a fictional film, the released new poster says it is coming on January 12th, 2024 and there is also gossiping in Tollywood that the makers have gone overboard with their budget by investing a huge budget on a young hero like Teja Sajja with a limited market and no Pan-India appeal.
Now with the above movie date, the makers are said to be taking even bigger risk by clashing with most anticipated Prabhas’s ‘Project K’ at the box office.
Though the Prashanth Varma movie was supposed to come before ‘Adipurush’ but due to its VFX work, the film was indefinitely postponed. There are also other biggies like Mahesh Babu’s ‘Guntur Kaaram’ slated for Jan 12th, 2024.
On the other hand, Ravi Teja’s ‘Eagle’ and Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film are also said to be aiming for 2024 Sankranthi.
Given the negativity surrounding mythological content like ‘Adipurush', and now with a risky release, if something goes wrong with its VFX or storyline, or characterization, the makers will reportedly have to bite the dust.
Therefore, We’ll have to wait and watch if still the makers want to clash with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan’s film (or) choose to come separately at a later date...!
