Anushka Shetty’s intense crime drama 'Ghaati' to release on THIS date

Anushka Shetty will be next seen as a powerful character on the big screen in her upcoming film 'Ghaati', directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Anushka will be seen in a fierce role which has been the most talked about aspect of the already released poster. Recently, the makers announced the release date of the film.

The makers took to social media to share that 'Ghaati' will hit theatres on April 18, 2025 and released an intense poster featuring Anushka. The makers on X (formerly Twitter) sharing the teaser wrote, "'The Queen', at her best, will reign at the box office #Ghaati GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 18th APRIL, 2025 In Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. 'The Queen' #AnushkaShetty"

To celebrate Anushka's 43rd birthday, the first teaser for 'Ghaati' was unveiled by the makers. The teaser presents Anushka in a rugged rural setting, dressed in a sari and wielding a sickle. Her character is portrayed as a member of a tribal community, complete with silver anklets and tattooed feet. The teaser shows a gripping scene where she beheads an adversary, making her transformation from a victim to a formidable figure in the crime world.

'Ghaati' is described as a raw and intense crime drama set against the backdrop of India's valleys. It tells the story of a woman who evolves into a criminal mastermind within the illicit cannabis trade.

This project will be Anushka's second collaboration with director Krish after their successful film 'Vedam'. Following her last appearance in 'Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty', where she played a strong-willed feminist determined to remain single, 'Ghaati' represents her bold return to more intense roles.
