Anupama Parameswaran to reunite with Sharwanand for period drama: Reports

Anupama Parameswaran provides fans with some of the captivating performances in South Indian cinema and is currently basking in the success of the Tamil film 'Dragon,' starring Pradeep Ranganathan. The actress is expected to be making her Telugu comeback in her upcoming film.

As per a 123Telugu report, Anupama is also set to star in 'Sharwa38,' a period drama directed by Sampath Nandhi, alongside Sharwanand. The film is expected to begin shooting in April 2025. This project reunites Anupama and Sharwanand after their successful collaboration in 'Shathamanam Bhavathi,' which won a National Award for providing wholesome entertainment.

On the other hand, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, 'Paradha,' which is a bilingual film, releasing in both Telugu and Malayalam, and stars Anupama Parameswaran alongside Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha Krish.

The story revolves around three women whose lives intertwine amidst cultural traditions and personal journeys. Anupama plays the role of a Paradanashin, a woman restricted from interacting with the outside world. The film will revolve around mystery and adventure, set against the backdrop of age-old customs and superstitions, including the controversial practice of Sati.

Gopi Sundar composed the music for the film. The film's cinematography, handled by Mridul Sujit Sen, captures the picturesque locales of Himachal Pradesh.

Interestingly, 'Paradha' will feature a special cameo by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Her appearance is expected to occur at a crucial moment in the film's climax, though details about her character remain under wraps. This marks the second collaboration between Anupama and Samantha, following their previous work in 'A Aa.'.

The film will be released on March 28, 2025.
