Anupama Parameswaran-starrer mystical drama 'Paradha' teaser is HERE

The teaser for the upcoming mystery adventure film 'Paradha,' starring Anupama Parameswaran, Darshana Rajendran, and Sangitha, was released on January 22, 2025. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, known for his debut film 'Cinema Bandi.'. The film is about the characters meeting one another on a personal journey with cultural traditions.

The teaser released yesterday introduces Subbu, portrayed by Anupama Parameswaran, who goes on a journey with a heavy emotional burden. She spends a staggering Rs 70 lakh in her quest to end her life. Along the way, she is joined by two other characters played by Darshana Rajendran and Sangitha. The film's story is set in a village steeped in age-old customs and superstitions, including the controversial practice of Sati.

Releasing the teaser the makers wrote, "You’re in for a surprise! Unveiling the enchanting world of #Paradha."


A particularly striking moment in the teaser shows Subbu revealing her face only to quickly cover it with a parda (curtain), leaving viewers questioning her true motives.

'Paradha' includes the lives of three women intertwined with fates and cultural traditions. The film's cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen captures the picturesque locales of Himachal Pradesh, enhancing the visual storytelling. Gopi Sundar is the music composer of the film.

'Paradha' is set to release in both Telugu and Malayalam languages. An official release date has yet to be announced.

Anupama Parameswaran was last seen in the film 'Tillu Square,' which was released on March 29, 2024. Directed by Mallik Ram, the movie is a sequel to the hit film 'DJ Tillu' and features Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead role alongside Anupama. The film has been well received, grossing over Rs 125 crore at the box office and earning positive reviews for its entertaining blend of comedy and crime.
