Controversies around
Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘God, Sex and Truth’ starring American porn star
Mia Malkova does not seem to end. The controversial docu-drama has drawn the ire of several women's rights groups for its 'bold and objectionable' content.
On January 20, All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) had given written complaint against Ram Gopal Varma on January 20th. But police did not take any action until Wednesday when women organisations from Vizag started a 48-hour hunger strike demanding the arrest of director.
An FIR has been lodged under IPC sections 504 and 509.
On the other hand, reports have surfaced that the movie was shot in Hyderabad, not in Europe. Reportedly, an activist has reportedly claimed that she has proof that RGV filmed the movie in Hyderabad. She also claimed to have pictures to support her claim that Mia Malkova had flown down to India to shoot the film.
If the allegations are proven true, RGV and the hotel authorities may face severe legal trouble since making a pornographic film in India has serious legal consequences.
