'Angamaly Diaries' to be remade in Telugu

The Malayalam movie is about gang wars in a small town of Kerala, Angamaly. It gave the audience a peek into the lives of the people living in Angamaly, their dialect, lifestyle and humour. ‘Angamaly Diaries’ impressed both fans and critics with its whacky storyline. However its Telugu remake will be adapted to suit Telugu sensibilities. As revealed by the lead actor, Vishwak, the movie will be about the gang culture in Hyderabad.

Interestingly, the Telugu remake will feature 80 new actors like its Malayali counterpart. Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by Chemban Vinod Jose, ‘Angamaly Diaries’ featured 86 newcomers. A casting call has been announced for wannabe actors and audition for the movie is going on at brisk pace.
