Ananya Panday, Puri Jagannadh; here are a few members of the team ‘Liger’ who faced the NCB interrogation over the drug cases!
Filmmaking is a tough job and everyone knows it to the core, Even if a day of film shoot gets wasted, the makers face huge losses. The film shoots generally halt due to natural disasters such as severe rainfall, sudden fire accidents on the sets, and other unknown incidents while shifting or doing deadly stunts while making a film. However, if the film shoot gets halted for any other reason beyond the above it is its team who is to be blamed for the delay of the shoot and eventually the film’s release.
The film ‘Liger’ is reportedly funded by Karan Johar, Puri Jagannath, and Charmme Kaur and stars Ananya Panday, Vijay Devarakonda, Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, Vishnu Reddy, Ali, Makrand Deshpande, and Getup Srinu in the supporting roles.

Puri Jagannadh
Puri Jagannadh is the director of ‘Liger’, who has appeared before ED last month after they summoned the notices over his connections with Drug dealers in the four-year-old case. The ED officials have also taken his banking transactions from all three of his bank accounts from 2015 to date. The 2017 case was reopened based on the charge sheets filed by the Telangana excise and prohibition department. ED had taken up the investigation into the money laundering angle in the drug case.

Charmee Kaur
Telugu actor turned producer Charmee Kaur was seen appearing before the ED after being summoned notices in connection with a multi-crore high-end drug racket that was busted in 2017 in Hyderabad. The investigating agency summoned more than 10 Tollywood celebs related to the smuggling of ‘Class A’ narcotic substances, who also grilled actress Charmee Kaur in the money laundering case recently.

Mike Tyson
The Tollywood team who recently roped in the early world’s heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson was also reportedly a drug dealer before taking to the ring for a match. He reportedly uses a tricky method to prevent detection by the sport’s official testers. And was also fined for testing positive for marijuana after a 2000 fight against Andrew Golota in Detroit. The champion later admitted in some reports that he had started consuming drugs at the age of 11.

Ananya Panday made headlines lately after being summoned twice by the Narcotics Control Bureau over the cruise drug bust case that took place wherein SRK's son Aryan Khan was arrested. She had to stop her ‘Liger’ shoot to appear before officials and was reportedly questioned for two days.
