There's already a steady buzz for the film ahead of its release this Friday and we bring you five reasons why Amar Akbar Anthony is worth a watch.




Ileana's Tollywood comeback
Actress Ileana D'Cruz was one of the most sought-after ladies in the Telugu film industry after the phenomenal success of Pokiri. Ileana went on to become one of the top stars in Tollywood, acting in films like Aata, Munna, Jalsa and Julayi. However, she moved to Bollywood in 2012 and after her B-Town debut Barfi! was a hit, there was no looking back for this Goan beauty. As Amar Akbar Anthony gears up for release, all eyes are on Ileana, who'll be making a Tollywood comeback after six years.

Ravi Teja: A man on a mission
Tollywood's Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja seems to be losing his golden touch. The actor hasn't had a proper blockbuster for over five years, and his films this year - Touch Chesi Chudu and Nela Ticket - have been box-office duds. A lot depends on Amar Akbar Anthony for the actor to prove that he's still the man of the masses with a magic touch at the ticket window.

Having worked together in the 2007 flick Dubai Seenu, Srinu Vaitla-Ravi Teja combo have returned with Amar Akbar Anthony. Vaitla is known for his unique style of filmmaking, where there's an ensemble star cast and a comedy-of-errors situation. Given that he's come up with an equally out-of-the-box idea for this week's release. We hope it pays off for him and the duo deliver another box-office hit.

The comedy
Srinu Vaitla is known for producing hilarious entertainers. Films like Ready and Dhee had some rip-roaring comedy which left the audience in splits and made him a director to watch out for. If it was Brahmanandam in his earlier film, it will be Vennela Kishore who will attempt to leave the viewers in splits in Amar Akbar Anthony.

As the title suggests, Ravi Teja will be essaying three different characters - as Amar, Akbar and Anthony. Ravi Teja, on his own, is a huge entertainer and with him doing a triple role, this film could be thrice as fun. It remains to be seen if it can also work its magic at the box-office when the film hits screens on November 16.
