It was a special day for the cast and crew of Gunasekhar’s Samantha Akkineni starrer Shaakunthalam on Saturday as they had a special guest on sets.
Pushpa star
Allu Arjun visited the set of the mythological drama to visit his daughter Allu Arha, who’s making her debut with the film. Usually accompanied by her mom Allu Sneha Reddy, Arha had a fun day on sets with her dad and brother Allu Ayaan present too.
The family stayed for a while, even looking at the monitor to observe how the little one is doing. Every day Arha arrives on set in her dad's customised caravan, Falcon, to give her takes.
Arha plays the role of Prince Bharat in Shaakunthalam and Samantha previously revealed that she is able to pull off her dialogues in a single go.
Dev Mohan will play the role of Dushyant while Samantha plays the titular role. The film is based on the Adi Parva of the epic Mahabharata and adapted from Abignana Shaakunthalam written by Kalidas. It is touted to tell one of the great love stories and takes place in the Himalayas. Seeing as how it has been a while since Tollywood filmmakers made a mythological drama, movie buffs are curious to watch the film.
Shaakunthalam is jointly produced by
Neelima Guna and Dil Raju. It’s expected to hit the big screens next year. Further details are awaited.
