Allu Arjun lauds Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal', says 'I really like it'

Allu Arjun recently expressed his admiration for Ranbir Kapoor's 2023 blockbuster film 'Animal,' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga which received heat after its release. In a recent interview, the 'Pushpa' star heaped praise on the film and the performances of all the actors.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Allu Arjun applauded Ranbir's performance as phenomenal and appreciated the entire cast for their roles in this film. When he asked about any film which he recently saw and would have liked to be in, he said, "No. There's no film that I would say I'd like to have done. But there are films that I really liked. Performances... I loved Animal. Phenomenal performance. That's one movie I really liked. There are some nice Telugu films that have come out."

The 42-year-old actor also shared his taste in films during the interview. He enjoys a wide range of genres from sci-fi to romantic dramas and comedies, appreciating any well-made movie regardless of its scale or complexity. Although horror or dark murder mysteries aren't typically his preference unless they're well made.

'Animal,' directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is an action drama that stars Ranbir Kapoor alongside Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. The film received mixed reviews due to its portrayal of toxic masculinity and negative depictions of women. However, it performed exceptionally well at the box office.

Speaking of Allu Arjun, he was last seen in Sukumar's directorial, box office juggernaut 'Pushpa 2: The Rule,' which was released on 5th December with Allu Arjun reprising his role alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.

The makers have also announced 'Pushpa 3: The Rampage'.
