Allu Arjun in Mumbai: Actor resumes shoot of Atlee's 'AA22xA6'; Deepika Padukone to join in November

Allu Arjun bid farewell to his grandmother, Allu Kanakaratnam, who passed away on Saturday, and flew back to Mumbai soon after performing the last rites to resume shooting for his upcoming sci-fi tentatively titled 'AA22xA6', directed by 'Jawan' filmmaker Atlee.

Balancing personal loss with professional commitment

As per a Mid-day report, a member from the unit of the upcoming film shared that despite losing his grandmother on August 30, he performed the last rituals and quickly returned to Mumbai to ensure the film's schedule stayed on track. Since the call sheets had been planned months in advance, involving hundreds of actors and technicians, any delay would have disrupted the shoot and increased costs.


The report also mentioned that international stunt coordinators have been supervising the scenes, and huge sets have been made, so pushing the shoot for some days would have led to an increase in the cost of making.

September focuses on Allu Arjun's character arc

The current schedule, which will run through September-end, focuses mainly on Arjun's character arc and high-intensity stunts that would form the crux of the story. In the meantime, Deepika Padukone will join the shoot in November. Her portions will also be action-oriented, staged across multiple locations in India and abroad.

Allu Arjun recently penned an emotional note for his grandmother. Sharing her picture on X, he wrote, "Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode.
