Allu Arjun’s fans and the media were seen waiting outside Chanchalguda Central Jail following the arrest of the Tollywood star in connection with the death of a female fan in a tragic stampede that occurred during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre. The actor was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court yesterday (December 13), and now he has been seen coming out of Chanchalguda Jail.
His lawyer recently shared that the police were not present on the ground floor during the stampede and only reached the area after hearing the screams of the woman and her injured son. The lawyer added that the police were on the first floor to see Allu Arjun, just like the rest of the crowd, which caused the courtroom to erupt in laughter.
After the arrest, Allu’s fans began protesting in the city, holding placards and banners reading ‘#WeStandWithAlluArjun’ and ‘Justice Should Be Served’.
Earlier, videos went viral from Allu’s residence in Hyderabad, where ‘Pushpa 2’ director Sukumar, Rana Daggubati, Chiranjeevi, Sushmita Konidela, and others were seen arriving to meet his family.
A video of the actor won the internet, showing Allu kissing his wife, Allu Sneha Reddy, on the cheek before entering the police vehicle. He was heard saying in the video that the police did not allow him to change his clothes, and their act of barging into his home was truly disappointing.
