Allu Arjun made headlines during the Andhra Pradesh elections in May 2024 when he visited Nandyal to support YSRCP candidate Shilpa Ravi Chandra Kishore Reddy. This visit led to controversy as it overstepped a violation of the model code of conduct due to the large crowd that gathered, making the police file a case against him.

Now, Allu Arjun has filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court to quash the case against him. He is accused of violating Section 144 and Police Act 30, which were enforced during the election period.

Allu Arjun clarified that he remains neutral politically and supports his friends regardless of their party affiliations. He mentioned that his visit was a promise to a friend rather than a promotion of any political party. This situation has sparked speculation about a rift within his family, particularly with his uncle Pawan Kalyan, who is the leader of the Jana Sena Party and was contesting against YSRCP.

The situation has led to speculation about a possible rift between Allu Arjun and Pawan Kalyan, particularly because Allu chose to support a candidate from YSRCP instead of his uncle's party. However, both the actors haven't made any direct comments upon each other.

Allu Arjun is currently focused on the highly awaited upcoming sequel 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', directed by Sukumar, which is set to release on December 6, 2024. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the key roles.
