Allu Arjun credits his late grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah for his passion for cinema


Icon Star Allu Arjun remembered his late grandfather, legendary actor Allu Ramalingaiah on his death anniversary on July 31.

The Pushpa actor took to social media to share a picture of his grandfather, writing how he remains an inspiration for many. He wrote, “Farmer, legendary actor & a great soul remembering my grandfather Allu Ramalingaiah garu today on his death anniversary. His passion for movies is what rubbed off the rest of us . His journey continues to be an inspiration to many of us. He will remain in our hearts forever. (sic)” Bunny stated in numerous interviews previously that his bond with his grandfather was so strong, he still misses him. Allu Ramalingaiah passed away in 2004 a year after Allu Arjun debuted with

Gangotri

.

On the work-front, Allu Arjun will soon be seen in Sukumar’s Pushpa, which will see him in the lead role along with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. He plays a coolie named

Pushpa Raj

who turns to red sandalwood smuggling in Rayalaseema. The film will release in two parts and was shot in

Seshachalam

and Maredumalli forests. This will be the actor’s third film with Sukumar after Arya and

Arya 2

. Allu Arjun has also given his nod to

Koratala Siva
