Allu Aravind says that 'Thandel' will be Naga Chaitanya's biggest career blockbuster

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's upcoming romantic action drama 'Thandel' directed by Chandoo Mondeti is set to hit theatres on February 7, 2025. Recently, during a promotional event for the movie, filmmaker Allu Aravind made a bold statement about 'Thandel'.

As per a 123Telugu report, he praised Naga Chaitanya's performance, declaring it to be the best of his career and confidently predicting that the film would become the highest-grossing project for the actor. His remarks have sparked considerable excitement on social media, with fans eager to see how the film will perform. He said, "Naga Chaitanya has killed it with his performance in Thandel. Giving this statement at this point in time is a bit risky. Thandel is easily his career-best performance. Thandel will also be the highest-grosser in Naga Chaitanya’s career. I am assuring this."

The film is based on the real-life story of a fisherman who accidentally crosses into Pakistani waters and ends up in jail.

The film's promotional campaign is gaining momentum, especially with the release of its third single titled 'Hilesso Hilessa.' The music for 'Thandel' is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

'Thandel' is said to be made on a budget of Rs 75 crores, making it one of Naga Chaitanya's most expensive projects to date. Notably, a lavish dance sequence featuring 900 specially trained dancers was created for the film at a cost of Rs 4 crores. The filmmakers have also secured lucrative deals for digital and satellite rights.
