Akkineni Nagarjuna's die-hard fan builds Annamayya temple; watch video

While Tollywood star Akkineni Nagarjuna has been winning accolades for his wide variety of characters in films, a die-hard fan of the star actor has taken to build Annamacharya temple after the actor’s successful 1997 film 'Annamayya'.
An ardent fan of Akkineni Nagarjuna from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh laid a foundation in 1997 after watching the actors’ film 'Annamayya', and he finished building the temple recently after 25 long years.The fans, followers and residents of Guntur raised funds to the tune of Rs1 crore to build a temple which they have named Sri Annamayya Swamy Mandiram to express their love for their favourite actor.
'Annamayya', which was released on May 22, 1997, has completed 25 years of its release recently. Directed by K Raghavendra Rao, 'Annamayya' went on to become one of the cult classic Telugu movies of all time. Also, this is one movie which is loved all across the world. The biopic of the 15th century the Hindu saint and composer Tallapaka Annamacharya carved a special place in everyone’s hearts and raked in moolah at the box office too.

From its songs, dialogues, and picturesque locales to the devotional scenes, this Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishnan and Kasturi-starrer remains etched in the minds of cinegoers. The film reinvented Nagarjuna at that time. He was doing different kinds of films, and Raghavendra Rao gave him a completely new image with great characterization. V Doraswamy Raju bankrolled the film under VMC Productions.

Akkineni Nagarjuna will be next seen in Praveen Sattaru’s action thriller 'The Ghost'. Sonal Chauhan is playing the leading lady. Mukesh G is the cinematographer, while Brahma Kadali is the art director of this upcoming thriller.
