Akhil Akkineni and Niddhi Agerwal's 'Mr Majnu' gets a release date!

in lead roles was announced recently.

The light-hearted rom-com is slated to hit the screens on January 25, 2019. Sharing the news on his social media, the director wrote, “Can't wait to introduce you to our #MrMajnu on Jan 25th 2019.@SVCCofficial @AkhilAkkineni8 @AgerwalNidhhi @george_dop @MusicThaman @shekarmaster @naveennooli @ShreeLyricist”(sic) Akhil on the other hand revealed that his fans have been asking for a January release and wrote, “You asked for a January release and I couldn’t say no. My first January release, can’t wait to kick start the new year with a bang ! Love to you all :)” (Sic)

revealing that the film’s first single will be released soon. Thaman also revealed in a post later on that Shreya Ghosal will be crooning for a number in the film. Hinting that the first single might be released on December 14, the music director shared a picture of number 14 in a heart and wrote, “Wooohoooooooo. To all the music lovers. And to all lovely musicians and my fav bands all over. Here is the date for u all. To add a New Song for ur cart & perform. #spreadlove #thaman105” (sic)

While Akhil Akkineni’s previous film ‘Hello’ received good response and Niddhi Agerwal’s film ‘Savyasachi’ tanked, it remains to be seen how ‘Mr Majn’ will fare. The
