'Akhanda 2' teaser out: Balakrishna returns with divine fury in massive 'Thaandavam' sequel

Tollywood's Nandamuri Balakrishna will be next seen in the highly anticipated upcoming sequel, 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam'. The makers have recently released the action-packed teaser of Boyapeti Sreenu directorial.

Divine fury unleashed

The makers announced on their social media handles, captioning it, "Every frame, every shot shows THE DIVINE FURY." The teaser offers a glimpse into the spiritual yet ferocious persona Balakrishna is set to carry as he did in the first part. They also added, "He doesn't fight evil, he DESTROYS it. THE DIVINE FURY - #Akhanda2 MASSIVE THAANDAVAM"

The teaser begins with the country's enemies plotting to strike at India's roots. Enters Balakrishna, in a powerful sadhu avatar, declaring in his trademark tone, "Where there is a bad, parallelly, there is a God! Be brave." The visuals and dialogues show the central force of the Akhanda franchise: a divine power guiding the protagonist to take on the forces of evil.

As seen in the teaser, Balakrishna's character seems to engage in a dual battle, fighting both external threats to the nation and dark sorcery aiding them. A moment in the teaser also shows his daughter calling out to him in an endearing manner. The teaser is released in Telugu and Tamil.

'Akhanda 2' cast

The film features Samyuktha as the female lead, with Aadhi Pinisetty playing a powerful role, and Harshali Malhotra in a key character. On the technical front, C. Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae are handling cinematography, Tammiraju is editing, and AS Prakash will be seen as the art director of 'Akhanda 2'. Thaman is composing the music.

As per IANS, the film is currently in its final post-production phase, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand theatrical spectacle. The movie will be released on December 5th.
