‘Airaa’: The Nayanthara starrer to release on April 28

Sarjun KM’s horror thriller ‘Airaa’, starring Nayanthara and Kalaiyarasan, has finally got a release date. The makers have announced on Sunday that the film will simultaneously release in Tamil and Telugu on April 28, 2019. Kotapadi J Rajesh will be bankrolling the project under KJR Studios.
For the first time, Nayanthara is playing a dual role in the film in her career spanning over 15 years.According to the makers, she will be seen playing Bhavani and Yamuna and, the title replicates her strength and attitude in the film. It was supposed to release on the occasion of Christmas last year, but due to delay in the shooting schedules, it was postponed to this year release. The official teaser of the film, which was released in January has created more expectations for the film.
Sources close the film’s unit say that it’s a very touchy subject and exploring it from a woman’s point of view will have a stronger impact. The film’s crew include names like Sundaramurthy KS, Sudarsan Srinivasan, Priyanka Ravindran, Karthik Jogesh, Siva Sankar and others.
