Ram Charan’s village drama film, ‘Rangasthalam,’ earned huge praise for its raw and realistic storytelling but is remembered for its brilliant music, composed by
Devi Sri Prasad. Recently, the musician revealed that almost all the film's songs were composed in just four days.
DSP reveals details about the songs
During a recent interaction with Rajesh Manne, the music composer shared that all songs were completed in just four days, except one.
According to Devi Sri Prasad, the only track not completed during those four days was ‘Jigelu Rani’. The popular dance number featured Pooja Hegde in a special appearance alongside Ram Charan. The song later became a huge chartbuster.
About ‘Rangasthalam’
Speaking about the film, it was directed by
Sukumar, who later delivered the superhit ‘Pushpa’ franchise. The film revolves around the story of Chittibabu, a partially deaf but kind-hearted man who fights against a corrupt village president along with his brother Kumar Babu.
Apart from Ram Charan, the movie also starred Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Naresh, Sunil Barve, and Aadhi Pinisetty in important roles.
The film released in theatres in March 2018, and turned out to be a massive commercial success. Along with box office collections, the movie also received strong appreciation for its performances, story, music, and emotional portrayal.
Ram Charan’s collaborations with Sukumar
Interestingly, Ram Charan will work with Sukumar in the upcoming movie tentatively called ‘RC17’. The film is expected to go on floors after Ram Charan’s next movie ‘Peddi’.
Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ remains one of the most anticipated films, set to hit the big screens on June 4. The film is co-backed by Sukumar’s production house and is helmed by Buchi Babu Sana who also worked with Ram Charan in ‘Rangasthalam’.
