Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film ‘Dacoit’ trailer was released less than a week before its official release. As the film is releasing after several delays, the actor recently reacted to discussions about pushing the release date further.
A 123Telugu report states that during an interview, Adivi Sesh mentioned that there was no delay and that this is just how he makes films. “To be honest, there was no delay. It’s the way I do films. I have been working non-stop for the last two years. Since there hasn’t been a release, you might feel that way," he said.
Earlier, the film was set to hit the big screens last year in December 2025. However, it was pushed to release on March 19, but the makers later opted for an April 10 release.
Recently, Adivi Sesh shared why they had to change their plans to release the film during the Ugadi festival, according to a report by PTI. He said, “We were going to release it on March 19 and for the South version the occasion of Ugadi, which is the Telugu New Year, is good, but we were not getting proper showcasing because of my friend, Aditya Dhar’s phenomenal ‘Dhurandhar’.”
Why April 10 release date
The makers waited for the right time and proper screens. Adivi Sesh shared, “We thought we should find the right showcasing, and only when we were confident from our distributors about the April 10 release date, and securing theatres and screen timing, did we announce the (new) date.”
