Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar starrer Major confirms release date

A release date has finally been locked for Sashi Kiran Tikka’s Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar starrer Major.

After frequent shifting of dates due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the makers announced that the film will hit screens come May 27. The film has been locked and ready for a while now, like many other films, but release keeps getting pushed due to the pandemic. Adivi Sesh, who wrote and acted in the film took to social media and announced, “HIS. SUMMER. WILL. BE. MASSIVE. #MajorTheFilm WORLDWIDE on 27 May, 2022. #MAJOR ka promise hai Yeh. (sic)”

Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the 26/11 martyr who passed away during the horrific bombings in Mumbai. The film is jointly bankrolled by Mahesh Babu and A+S Entertainments. Shot in Telugu and Hindi, Major has also been dubbed into

Malayalam

for release. This will mark Adivi Sesh’s debut in both Hindi and Malayalam. Seeing how well Adivi Sesh’s recent films like

Goodachari

and

Evaru

have fared, fans are curious to watch the film.
