Actress Tashu Kaushik gets engaged

Actress Tashu Kaushik got engaged to her childhood buddy Devang Raj Tayal, an entrepreneur, on January 4 in Kanpur. The engagement was a private affair attended by close friends and family. The couple will tie the knot at a heritage palace in Rajasthan later this year.
Despite being friends from their school days, the couple never really dated each other. ���I���ve been friends with Devang from my class 10 days.But we never got romantically involved. I burst out laughing when my family first spoke of the proposal,��� says Tashu who ���immediately said yes,���nevertheless.
The two might have remained buddies had it not been for their respective sisters��� intervention. ���Both our families have known each other for over 15 years. Some of our friends would joke about how long we���d continue being just friends.My sister is good friends with him and they clinched the rishtha in December,��� shares Tashu adding, ���When we met after our alliance was confirmed, he gifted me a watch and I gifted him his favourite perfume, which I promised to gift him back in school.���
The actress admits that the prospect of getting hitched to her best friend was ���embarrassing��� initially. ���We���ve been friends forever and it was a pure friendship. It was a little awkward to imagine getting married to my buddy. But I know that we make a great couple and I can look forward to a secure life with Devang,��� says Tashu, who is still waiting for her beau to propose.
���Devang is yet to go down on his knees and ask me to marry him. He promised to do that before the wedding,��� says Tashu with a laugh. Tashu looks set to bid goodbye to showbiz post marriage. ���I���ve committed do a Malayalam film and I want to finish it and probably I���ll quit films.��� she says.
