Actress Jamuna dancing to Baalanura Madanaa from Missamma goes viral

Gone viral on social media is a video of Jamuna reciting lines and dancing as Missamma plays on the television.
The 84-year-old yesteryear actress starred in the film directed by LV Prasad with NT Rama Rao, Savitri and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. She played the role of a zamindarini named Sita in the film. Think of the actress and her performance in the film and many others still remain iconic for many.
Now, going viral on Facebook, WhatsApp and several other social media platforms is a video of the wiry and still-spunky Jamuna dancing to Baalanura Madanaa. The actress even recites her lines and tells her children how her character struggles to learn Bharatnatyam in the film.
Netizens can’t help but go gaga over the video and we can see why. Her daughter, artist Sravanthi Juluri who shared the clips with us says, “That’s how energetic she is at 84. I’m so lucky and blessed to be with amma during the lockdown. She sure is adding cheer to many lives. Amma loves to look back at her old movies and re-enact her favourite scenes for us.”

While Sravanthi says that the video was shot on Friday night, by Saturday morning, the videos were everywhere.
