Actor Chandrakanth reportedly dies by suicide days after co-star Pavithra dies of car accident

In a tragic turn of events, Telugu television actor Chandrakanth was found dead at his home in Alkapur, Telangana. The actor, known for his role in the popular TV series 'Trinayani', reportedly took his own life on Friday, May 17. This devastating news comes shortly after the untimely death of his co-star and close friend, Pavithra Jayaram, in a road accident.

According to a statement given to the police by Chandrakanth’s father, the actor had been struggling with depression in the days leading up to his death. The loss of Pavithra Jayaram, who was also his roommate, had a profound impact on him.



Pavithra passed away in a tragic accident on May 12 in Hyderabad when a bus proceeding from Hyderabad to Vanaparthi collided with the right side of the car. Pavitra was seriously injured in the accident and died on the spot. She was accompanied by her sister, Apeksha, their driver, Srikant, and Chandrakanth himself who got injured.


Chandrakanth had been mourning Pavithra's loss deeply. He had penned down emotional tributes for his 'Trinayani' co-star. His last post on Instagram was also for Pavithra. The two were reportedly in a relationship.


The TV show 'Trinayani' is being highly admired by their fans where their chemistry won the hearts of the viewers.
