Initially, the makers have planned to shoot a large chunk of crucial portions on Chiranjeevi and the principal cast in this month-long schedule. However, with the ‘Sye Raa’ actor confined to home quarantine for the next few days, scenes which don’t require him are expected to be canned. Meanwhile, Kajal Aggarwal who is currently enjoying her

honeymoon

with husband Gautam Kitchlu in the Maldives will reportedly join the proceedings once she gets back to the country.

Directed by Koratala Siva and jointly bankrolled by Ram Charan’s Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment, the shooting of Acharya came to a halt in March due to COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Citing creative differences as the reason, Trisha Krishnan walked out from the project and Kajal replaced her.

Set against the backdrop of Dharmasthali, the first look poster of Acharya showcased Chiranjeevi from the backside as he attacks a group of goons with a knife in his hand. While Mani Sharma has been roped in to compose the music, Regina Cassandra has sizzled for a special number before the lockdown. The title of the film was accidentally revealed by Chiranjeevi during the audio launch of O Pitta Katha in March.
