’, the official remake of Malayalam film of the same name, have been acquired by a production company for Rs 25 core, sources confirmed. Indeed, this kind of an amount for a Telugu remake film is rarely heard of. It is perhaps the highest in the career of Allu Sirish till date.

The film, also starring Bharat in a pivotal role, tells the story of a two America-based NRIs who arrives in India for their vacation but couldn’t go back to the US for a reason. The original version garnered startling reviews and was also one of the biggest hits of 2013. The Telugu version marks the directorial debut of Sanjeev Reddy.

To keep up the momentum, the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned in promoting ‘ABCD - American Born Confused Desi’. The movie is backed by
