'Aadya showing Deva what happens to her': 'Salaar 2' makers dismiss rumors with new Prabhas and Shruti Haasan PIC

Ever since the release of Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’, the movie buffs have been waiting for its sequel. Given that the 2023 release was a blockbuster hit, high hopes were pinned on its sequel. Amidst the anticipation, some reports claimed that the film was put on hold. The makers have dismissed the reports and dropped an update. On Wednesday, January 28, Sruthi Haasan celebrated her birthday. On the special occasion, the makers of ‘Salaar’ dropped a photo featuring Shruti Haasan and Prabhas. In the photo, the duo is seen looking at a phone. The caption that accompanied the photo read, “Aadya showing Deva what happens to her in #Salaar2! What do you think it is?” The photo clearly hints that ‘Salaar 2’ is still on the cards, and no delay.

A previous report by Deccan Chronicle suggested that ‘Salaar 2’ has been put on hold indefinitely. As per the report, the decision was fueled by the poor performance of Prabhas’ recent release ‘The Raja Saab’. “Both director Prashanth Neel and Prabhas have decided to completely revamp Salaar 2. What worked three years ago won’t work now. The project is being altered to cater to changed audiences’ tastes," the report said. The rumours around the delay strengthened, leading to fans urging the makers for an update.

‘Salaar’ released in 2023, is directed by Prashanth Neel. Starring Prabhas, the film also has Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, John Vijay, Easwari Rao, Tinnu Anand, Devaraj, Brahmaji, and Mime Gopi in pivotal roles. The actioner follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the current prince of Khansaar.
